The Salvation Army presents “Kettles on Parade” - Nov. 27 - Nov. 28
The Salvation Army Manhattan/Riley County is making preparations to present “Kettles on Parade” in Downtown Manhattan and Aggieville this Christmas Season. For the second year in a row, local artists have been commissioned to give the famous red kettles a seasonal make-over, in order to provide a creative option for meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters right here in the community.“We encourage folks to come to our most cherished community events in the oldest hearts of the city to “vote” for their favorite kettle! We have to raise $80,000 this season to meet the needs right here, and every dime helps,” said Evan Tuttle, member of the local board. “This is a really fun way to go about that!”
